Government & Prevailing Wage

Prevailing wage enforcement nearly doubled last year. Public works and federal bids carry burdens most estimators don't fully understand: wage determinations, classifications, fringe, certified payroll and PLAs. We understand them, we get the labor right on bid day, and we don't guess:

Wage determinations read right: the current determination and any modifications for your county and type of work, applied to the job
State, federal or both: state prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, or both on jobs with mixed funding
Classifications matched to the work: every worker priced at the classification for the work they'll actually do. Misclassification is one of the most common violations
Fringe handled correctly: cash vs bona fide plans, and what each does to your burdened rate

Sitework Estimating, Answered Straight

What is a full bid estimating service?

It's the whole bid, not just quantities. We do the takeoff, collect your supplier and vendor quotes, price every line item with real production rates and your local material and trucking costs, write your scope letter with inclusions and exclusions, and fill out the bid form. A takeoff service hands you numbers. We hand you a bid you can submit.

How are you different from offshore takeoff services?

Most offshore services count quantities and price from generic "market rates in your area" databases. We price from real production rates, your local costs, and field experience running crews. Earthworks NV is 100% US-based, run by American heavy civil field estimators.

What trades and scopes do you estimate?

Mass grading, cut/fill and excavation with over-ex, demolition, hardscape grading, wet and dry utilities, erosion control and SWPPP, retaining and screen walls, and complete sitework packages for commercial, industrial, public works, and government projects. See sitework estimating by trade.

How fast is your turnaround?

Full bid packages deliver in 3–5 business days and standalone quantities in 2–3, depending on project size and plan quality. Rush turnaround is available for tight bid dates. Give us your bid date and we work backward from it.

Do you work with contractors outside Nevada?

Yes. Every estimate is built remotely from your plans and specs and priced with your local rates, anywhere in the US and Canada.

What do you need from me to start?

The full plan set and your bid date. Civil and geotech at minimum, and the more you send, the tighter the number. Upload it all through the secure file link below.

Are my plans and numbers kept confidential?

Yes. We sign an NDA before you send plans, and your numbers are used on your bid only. See our Client Protection policy below.

How much does a sitework estimate cost?

We work two ways. Per project, each bid is quoted up front after we review the plans. On a monthly retainer, you get a set rate every month, so you know your estimating cost before the bids come in. Either way, we take the place of an in-house estimator without the salary, benefits and ramp-up time.

Your Bid Stays Yours.

Your numbers are your business. Here is how we protect them on every job.

NDA first: we sign your NDA, or ours, before you send plans.
Used on your bid only: your unit prices, production rates, markups, and bid results are never shared or reused in another client’s estimate.
One bidder per project: we estimate each project for one bidder only, so your number is never built alongside a competitor’s. If any other conflict comes up on a job, we tell you and step off it.
Your files, your call: we delete your plans and estimate files after bid day on request.
